What is a LifeGroup?
A LifeGroup is an ongoing group of 6-14 people that meet regularly for community, Bible study and prayer. They are for adults of all ages, stages of life and maturity. LifeGroups are our church's primary vehicle for personal spiritual growth and the way to help people get a sense of belonging and connection.
Why join a LifeGroup?
LifeGroups bring people together to do four things in community: pray, share, study and serve, all in the name of Christ. Community is an essential part of one's spiritual journey.
How do I get involved in a LifeGroup?
There are four ways to get involved in a LifeGroup:
1. Indicate interest on an Info Card.
2. Attend a GroupLink. Click here for information on our next GroupLink.
3. Click Here to submit your request to join a LifeGroup.
When, where, and how often do LifeGroups meet?
LifeGroup members decide when, where, and how often their group meets. LifeGroups meet Monday through Sunday and meet in one of the group member's homes. LifeGroups meet two to four times a month. Most LifeGroup meetings last about 1.5 to 2 hours.
What do LifeGroups study?
Each group chooses their own curriculum to study with guidance from the Discipleship Pastor.
Click here for a list of recommended curriculums.
How long does a LifeGroup exist?
LifeGroups who form during a GroupLink initially commit to 6-8 sessions. After the 6-8 sessions, the group members decide if they want to continue together for an additional 18 to 24 months.
How does LifeGroups add additional members?
We encourage LifeGroup members to invite people from their existing relationships first such as friends and neighbors. Sunday morning is an excellent way to meet new people, also you can connect with others through service projects, like the chair team or greeting team or other ministries, like Union Station, @Midlife or Forever Young; for example.
