Purpose

To follow Christ’s example to serve others - our church family, our community, our geographical region and the world  - through various means as Christ leads and enables, always being ready to “give an answer for the reason of the hope that is within us.”

Current Initiatives

Our Community

Partner with a local housing area to identify needs and learn ways we can serve the residents.

Provide opportunities for the congregation to participate in the Faith in Action Day activities within their community.

Train people in discovering their S.H.A.P.E. (Spiritual gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality, and life Experiences) through the SHAPE workshop series and coach them as they serve in ministries/missions that fit their S.H.A.P.E.

Encourage LCC families to carry out the “Every Home a Lighthouse” concept to serve/reach their neighborhood.

Adopt and Bless a County School, ABC’S, by collaborating with the parent liaison to meet needs of children for tutoring, reading assistance, and homework help and provide school materials and snacks that can be given to those who need them. 

Our Region

Research major areas of need and concern in our county and then select one for our church to work on in conjunction with other churches, community groups, county agencies and organizations. Loudoun Christian Justice Mission

Prepare people to be ready for local emergencies and to serve in emergency/disaster situations through Red Cross Emergency and Disaster Training certifications.

Repair homes of needy country residents through Rebuilding Together. 

Our World

Build a relationship with World Vision to assist the people of Haiti over the next  3-5 years to make Haiti’s Tomorrow brighter.  This would be done through sponsoring children and sending teams to assist in various aspects of rebuilding such as; housing, water purification, medical, evangelism, children and youth ministry.

Work through denominational agencies like BGVA, BWA, CFB and SBC.
