Outreach

LOCAL OUTREACH

Outreach at its simplest is going out and doing something that shows we care for our community. We have opportunities to make a positive impact on a community wide scale. But sometimes the largest impact we can make only affects one soul, and it changes them for a lifetime. That’s why no matter how grand or how seemingly small the act, we want to get out there and do something. Our challenge is that we all get out, once a month for at least two hours.

LCC Food Ministry

For a number of years LCC has partnered with the local ministry, Tree of Life (TOL), based in Purcellville, VA. They offer aid and services to neighborhoods as they link arms to bring the gospel to hurting families throughout Loudoun County. Recently, TOL expanded to Leesburg and can be found at 940A Edwards Ferry Road, Leesburg, VA 20176. In Leesburg, they have opened SimplyBe Coffee, set up a food pantry, and provided Free Meals to Go through the Community Kitchen every Tuesday at Crossroads Baptist Church. Tree of Life continues to provide weekly food deliveries, maintain a thrift store in Purcellville, offer financial/job coaching assistance and health/medical vouchers along with prayer and devotionals. They are blessed to have Spanish-speaking people in the organization to communicate with the Spanish community and they also provide English-speaking classes.

Leesburg Community Church has a strong conviction that God has a desire for us to reach out and teach that we are all made to love God, love others, and serve the world as Christ’s disciples. We currently partner with and financially support some amazing brothers and sisters in Christ serving in Lebanon, Thailand, India, Nicaragua, Romania, Nepal, Venezuela and Haiti.
